Maybe a marbled white type butterfly, however there are so many butterflies in Romania I gave up trying to identify them as the book I had was limited and just some many that look almost the same.

You're right about ID and you've really got a very nice sharp shot here except you could easily have cropped it to bring forward the butterfly.

Beautiful butterfly and very nice shot.
I agree with Ania and Ulla, you could have given prominence to the butterfly cropping the image a little.
Good capture anyway.

Presenting the Marbled White like this certainly has a very effective impact on the viewer and his own creative fantasy. I think your approach is to be applauded! There are certainly many enough expert close ups of this species on TN and elsewhere which makes your innovative initiative of excellent quality very welcome for a change. Thanks a lot for an out of the ordinary picture - very nice indeed!
