Hello! What are you doing?

Trying to take you to TerkNature.

Rabbit owl(Speotyto cunicularia)
Spreading: Southwest Canada, the west of the USA and Florida; Central and South America
Habitat: Half desert, grass country without tree existence

Length: 23-28 cm

The rabbit owl is a small bird with a short tail and long legs, whereby it is well to the life on the soil adapted. The rabbit owl hunts usually in the evening, is however often also during the day before the entrance of its cave to be seen. Their food consists of insects such as moths, spirit levels, grasshoppers, beetles and crickets as well as of small rodents, birds, frogs and reptiles. It often follows animals such as dogs and horses, which up-hunt insects of the soil, if they move; this catches the owl then. The rabbit owl nistet from March to July. The female puts 6-11 eggs (usually 8-9) into a chamber at the end of their cave, which “lines” it with dried animal excrement.

Hi Biswarup,
Nice close up shot, pose was great, well captured.
Would be great if it is sharper.
Nice shot.

Hello Biswarup,
What a stare, this is a very intimidating look!
I like a lot the way you composed the shot, the colors and pattern of the feathers...think that is a little bit OOF, perhaps a little movement of the head.
Anyway a great work, kind regards,

Great shot, too bad its not sharp enough. Very intensive eyes, isn't it?
Nice framing and composition.
