[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The young individual of Zootoca vivipara (known before as Lacerta vivipara), one of a few lizard species in Polish fauna, and the only viviparous species in Central Europe. Here it is waiting for a rays of sun to increase the body temperature and to start activity.
The picture was taken at the beginning of spring, just a few weeks after the snow cover was dissapeared.

Hello Radomir,
what a fine and sharp image of this Lacerta vivipara (as in the netherlands the family name has recently been switched back to lacerta). Difficult issues is always to get the tail well fitted on the image. You succeeded very well. A slight lower pov might have given a blink in the eye ;-)
Regards, JAcob

Czesc Radziu
Witam na treknature z piekna jaszczurka na poczatek. Staram sie wylapywac tytuly roznych utworow muzycznych na treaknature. Nie wiem czy pamietasz ale "Waiting for the sun" to tytul utworu The Doors

Hola Radomir, magnífico lizar y agradable compo y buenos detalles... genial trabajo, saludos

Hi Radomir,

A very nice shot of this beautiful specimen of viviparous lizard. Looks like a female that just gave birth. Very nice colors and details!

However, the slow-worm (Anguis fragilis) is also a central european species that is viviparous ;)

Hi My dear friend Radek,a wonderful capture of this young beauty with great clarity and sharpness. An excellent sun bathing shot indeed.
TFS and cheers,
