Frosted web. What do you catch with that?

SPIDERS IN WINTER :
Spider usually stop attempting to build webs in the winter. Unless it's warm enough and they think they make a chance to catch something. The guess might be wrong.

THE BLADES :
They are from ivy.
Ivy - Lierre commun des bois - Hedera helix.

THE PIC :
I saw several beautiful frosted webs on TN. I attempted to do the same but always ended up with a distracting background (too close to the web to be blurred enough by using less F). I was happy to find that one as I thought that in that case the background is a plus.

süper! Fantastic shot. A really very nice macro!

regards

Nice find and a perfect spiders web across a leaf just thought that a little level adjustment to darken the leaf would contrast better well spotted tfs rgds Necip.

You might catch cold! ha ha : ) I don't know if that translates into French as a joke. It is kind of a bad joke anyway! It is an interesting shot JeanMarie. Nature's patterns are so wonderful. Good eye..

Bonjour JeanMarie,
Very interesting this presentation!
I never see a frost web here, so it looks like so attractive for me, the way the web structure is covered by the ice and spot on with the light reflections.
Well done, thanks for share and best regards,
JM

Bonjour Jean-Marie,
Alors vous avez fait une virée en France... Vraiment sympa cette feuille bordée de sucre glace ;-) La petite toile perlée de givre est super aussi. Il est vrai que l'araignée aura du mal à capturer un proie ainsi.
Bien vu et bien fait !

Hi JeanMarie

This is a splendid capture!
I always wanted to get one of these but never got the luck of finding one :)
Anyway, your photo is excellent and your positioning when taking this is also great, allowing all this direct light to make the ice-crystal glow :)
Very nice sharpness, very good DOF and a charming composition.
Very well done!

Bravo and TFS

Bonjour Jean Marie,
Beaucoup de chance d'avoir trouvé ce soleil givré. Bonne présentation avec un choix judicieux du format en hauteur. Juste une petite remarque: l'utilisation du rouge pétant juste en-dessous de ton image si fine, lui nuit un peu.
Meilleures salutations
Anne
