Dear Jitti!
Very nice macro! I like the POV, DOF, mosaic of colours on butterfly's wings, and shadow on the leaf! Moreover it seems that this specimen started to think "where to fly" ;)
Another interesting thing is a very informative and useful note!

I'm Afraid I can only confirm the genus: this is definitely a Potanthus species, but there are so many similar that my books can't help me decide which species, which is a shame because this shot is excellent in every way and deserves at least an ID confirmation.

irrespective whether the species identification is correct or not, one has to say that you show an outstanding macro of this skipper. Colours, focus, sharpness, composition ... everything is perfect.
With respect to identification, I also think that it is P. pseudomaesa. Knowledge of the hindwing underside pattern would help in confirmation.

I saw this when you first posted it but then "lost" it! This is really one of the best Skipper shots I've seen, so sharp, all in focus and lovely colours. The light is fantastic. It's a very beautiful species with large patterns on the wings. Brilliant composition!

Nice macro JC with very good lighting and cute shade.

I like it a lot: composition, POV, background, DOF, focus, sharpness, colors, lighting, framing, notes.

I don't like it: nothing.

Be careful with the loss of quality in the processed of the image... this only it has 85Kb against the 200Kb. allowed in TN.

this is an excellent portrait of a skipper in its typical resting pose. Excellent details, perfect point of view to make both sides of wings visible, perfect depth of field to cover all the details of the skipper, beautiful light to highlight the shapes of wings, body, and leaf, and to cast a funny looking shade in front of the insect.
