Hi Jay
I like your dramatic seascape and wave crashing against the rocks. Good timing! Your colours and lighting are good. Nicely balanced and composed. I also wish you warm weather real soon.

Hello Jay,
coming to see the coastline of Nova Scotia in January is a rare event for those not living there. I guess there will not be too many tourists around at this time of the year. I like the crisp details and the contrast of warm and cold hues. The element water well characterized according to Greek philosophers like Empedokles - thanks for the link to Wikipedia! Looking forward to the your translation of the other elements, including the fifth one.
As stated above, the image is very clear and full of dynamic tension, and very intense. It makes me feel being there. A little nit is some overexposure of sky and foam of waves - would like to contribute a little "wörkshop" on that - but I can't. You seem to have disabled that function.
Hope you are sitting in front of a nice warm feuer right now - take kare not to katch a kold out there.
With thanks and best regards,
Peter

Hi Jay
This is a very nice photo with some very interesting and a premiere...i think :)
That something very interesting is the note and the description of the classicla elements.
I went to the link from the wikipedia and found that that drawing from where you took the first paragraph of your note...i must say it's very interestng and it makes a lot of sense :)
The premiere here is the triple dedication...i haven't whitnessed one before :p
The photo is excellent and the moment you managed to capture is great! Thet great splash looks terrific and the frozen water on the roks is magnificent!

Hi Jay
thank you for your beautiful seascape , a frozen ocean that is impossible to see here in portuguese shore!...but really it´s the very same ocean that some people thinks to set apart peoples and land...not true , this ocean is a strong bound and we are, really, neighbours in the planet earth!

I love this, both the capture and the humörous nötes. Great cölours and details: amazing to see that it was taken in January (I thought of the ocean shöre as frözen by then)! I would imagine those ice-cövered rocks are pretty dangerous though!
