This is a view from Glen Shira towards Bridge of Orchy Hills.

I took this one when I was coming back from Loch Dochard. Having spent some time at the lake, I packed my gear and rushed back to the parking place (near Forest Lodge). The footpath is not bad at all but some part of it is nothing but a massive peat bog - completely waterlogged. Forget about this path without a pair of proper wellies.

It was near 4pm and the Sun was about to set. Distant mountains were reflected by the gorgeus evening light.
I found this part of a Shira river with a nice and smooth surface and the clouds formation were dragging attention into the centre point, in the distance.

I used my 0.6 GND SE filter to keep the proper exposure with a slight help of polarising filter. With such a wide angle lens it is a risk to have uneven polarisation of the sky - which doeasn't look good to me.

Hi Piotr,
What a great DOF! I liked the POV and DOF a lot, your photo makes me want to climb up those hills now. Great composition, great light and colors. Very good focus and composition. The reflection of the sky and clouds on the water is beautiful. Very well done. TFS

Hi Piotr,
Wow What a shot.Especially clouds look amazing. Very good colors. you have achieved nice DOF.I like it a lot. TFS

Hi Piotr,
This is a wonderful landscape presentation!
I like all the settings you made here, exposure, POV and DOF.
Colors are just amazing.
Congratulations, thanks for share and best regards,

Hi Piotr great photo.
Great sky and foreground. Normally photos with the horizon exact in the midden are a little boring, but this is an exception.
Very well done!
Greetings Jan-Arie

Beautiful landscape, fantastic the reflection on the water!
Nice colours, bye Tom

Hello Piotr,
A fantastic capture with your camera settings.
The landscape in this wide orientation is just captivating.
Warm regards,

Hi Piotr,
Great landscape...
Good depth!
I think 'uneven polarisation' as you call it, is due to vignetting; a lens aberration strengthen through the use of a polarizer. I have the same lens and I use a thin B&W circular polarizer. I have heard good critiques about the Lee system though.
Once again...
Nice wide angle shot!

Hi Piotr.
Beautiful light and colour. Great wide view, the sky draws the eye in just right. Well done.
Regards, Steve.

Czesc Piotrze!
Bardzo ladna, wieloplaszczyznowa kompozycja z dobrym doswietleniem. Bardzo podobaja mi sie cieple wieczorne kolory turzyc, swietnie kontrastujace z blekitem nieba.

Hi Piotr,
Superb capture, with great lines, lighting, colors and details. Thanks for your talent.

What amazing depth you captured with this composition Piotr. That in conjunction with the amazing depth of focus acheived with that lens makes this a wonderful image. Nice control of the polarizing.

Hi Piotr

Nice cloud formations. Lovely light, great low POV and the reflection is awesome. Congrats!

Hi Piotr,
A photo with a excellent feel of depth created by all the lines meeting eachother in the center. That sky realy made the photo magnificent. A CP and a UWA lens do not go together that well, but you still mananged to get overall good colors in the sky. I've seen them almost turn black.
I have been wondering about lighting in this shot for a while. The difference between the left side of the river and the right is rather large, making me struggle to cross the river. Would it help to lighten the river and that shaded area?

Witaj Piotrze,
Pozdrawiam z Polski.

Hi Piotr

Another masterrpiece from you!
What really amazes me here are the lines on the sky and the way they all point to the center of the horizon! This is really something i haven't seen before and is makes everything look larger and deeper somehow.
Besides that, the colors everywhere are outstanding and very well saturated, including the sky here, where the ND grad did a great job. The same goes for the contrast, too! ;)

The POV is also exceptional and it leads the water well in depth while allowing you to capture those superb reflections.

Splendid work!
Bravo and TFS

I really like the autumn colours in this photo and the refelction of the cloud trails is excellent. It really draws your eyes to the Bridge of Orchy Hills in the distance.

You were really lucky with both the weather and the cloud formations....
