Hello Andrea,
Very nice capture of a Black-necked Grebe in winter plumage. Excellent sharp shot in good lighting. Your workshop diving photos are amusing.
This species is rare in Sweden, breeding in a few places in the south.

this shot is fabulous, such wonderful colors and excellent details. I love the reflection a lot and the BG colors works well with the birds colors. Even the red eye looks fabulous ;-).

hmmm, non è facile un'inquadratura verticale per un soggetto che porta (anche grazie alle onde concentriche ) ad un'inquadratura di tutt'altra natura.

ok per sabato (butto là silea, ma poi si decide)

ps: oggi sono stato a venessia. incredibile i passerotti vengono a becchettare ad un metro da te.

propongo altra uscita.

ulteriore uscita non ho mai fatto le maschere di venezia.

Outstanding photos! And I am SO GLAD that you showed us this sequence!
This is so much what I see here daily with merganzers, loons and shags diving / fishing!

I have not managed to shoot a sequence like that,
likely as I have not figured out the "continuous mode"...


I am also pleased that you show this in multiple WS shots, rather than as a collage!

Bella imagen y mucho más bella reflexión Andrea de este llamativo zampullín.
Me encanta el detalle de su vistoso ojo y la agudeza de la captura sobre un perfecto entorno acuático, que brinda la posibilidad de captar el excelente reflejo.
Tal vez la altura de la imagen es algo excesiva... creo que podria recortarse ligeramente.
Espectacular secuencia de los dos workshops complementarios.

Beautiful image and much more beautiful reflection Andrea of this attractive grebe.
I love the detail of their showy eye and the sharpness of the capture on an perfect aquatic environment that offers the possibility to capture the excellent reflex.
Perhaps the height of the image is something excessive... I believe that it could be cropped lightly.
Spectacular sequence of the two complementary workshops.

Excellent light and reflection in this shot of the grebe.
Very cute bird with the feathers all fluffed out.

What a splendid capture!
I’m really amazed that you’ve managed to get such a great deal of details on his eye from such a distance.
The details and colors resulted here are just outstanding and the composition is definitely enhanced by that beautiful double-headed reflection :))))))))))))))))))))))))))
By the way, I’ve noticed that all your recent shots are taken with the Canon 1D MkII N and that wonderful 400 mm prime. Did you buy some new equipment? Or are they borrowed from a friend? :)
