A beautiful butterfly captured in a stunning composition and with a very interesting POV. Great macro work shows this specimen in all its glorious beauty while it clearly displays the typical pansy style markings and blotches on the wings.

Excellent colours and pin sharp details ensured that this photo is a pleasure to view. The BG is sufficiently removed to prevent any distraction for whatever items that might be present. The exposure was well controlled thus allowing some very interesting contrasts in the darkish wings and body of the insect.
