[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today I tried to break the drought in photography that I have in the last weeks, I went near my home to the fields to find something interesting.
Between the fields there were some places with 'standing' water from the last rains and as you know water always atracts nature activity such as this one.
There were a group of cattle herons that were doing a 'frog party' in the paddle, first I thought they were only 'hunting' small bugs, but once in a while I saw them with something bigger in their beak...

This picture is almost a full-frame picture, I cropped it a little bit on the right for composition.

Hi Elroyie,
It certainly does seem to be the end for the poor frog.....but a tasty snack for the bird. You have caught lovely warm light that has brought out the colours beautifully. Lovely detail and clarity down to the droplets of water on the frog.Good work and TFS.

That is quite a big dinner he has caught for himself.
Good details in an excellent composition.
I like the light hitting the back of the egret.

Excellent (no nits)

When I saw this one, an image of a poster called Never, ever give up came to mind, where the frog has hins 'hand's around the herons neck and is trying to stangle it whilst the heron is trying to eat the frog...

I love the whites in this picture, they have been controlled really well and the detail, composition and DOF are all excellent.

Emma

As much as I like frogs I have to admit that this is a pretty good shot, and very nicely composed. :)

WOW!
Another great one!
It is useless to talk about colors and details.
However I think it would have been better if taken from the lit side but this is just picking at perfection :D

Aw Alroyie,
that hurts. Since I like both birds and amphibians I give these animals the benefit for the situation. I hope the egret had a pleasant meal!
