This baby is almost 1-1/2 years old and stands under 24 inches high. She is very protected by mom and it was very unusual to get a shot like this one. Patience is sometimes a virtue LOL

Taken with a Nikon D-200 camera with a Nikon 80-400 mm lens at a focal length of 400mm, shutter speed of 1/60, aperture of F/5.6, with a tripod.

Lovely portrait of the baby Kathleen, you've done well to be patient and wait for this shot. At 1/60 it is still extremely sharp showing us fine detail in the hair and skin. BG is thrown OOF well. Only thing I might say is you've cropped too much of his hand.

The expression on the young one's face is great. This picture has such a calming quality about it. He looks quite content, and he is just too cute!!
