" I eat a deep-frozen dish"
Golden Eagle
Aquila chrysaetos

Habitats: Golden Eagles are birds of open country, not forests, from desert grasslands to above timberline. They build large stick nests in trees or cliff walls where they have plenty of room to maneuver.
Description: Adult Golden Eagles are nearly alike except the female is larger than the male. Their plumage is dark brown overall, with some white at the base of the tail and golden-to-blond feathers on the back of the head (the nape). Bill and talons are black; cere (soft membrane that covers the nostrils) and feet are yellow. Immature birds have a broad, white tail band with a black edge, and large white patches on the undersides of the wings at the base of the primary feathers. Sometimes a white line extends from this large patch toward the body. In their second year, this white patch becomes smaller. Adults weigh 9 to12.5 pounds.

Taken at the Ecomuseum.
Sunny but cold day, as usual. When it is brightened up it is even colder because here, during winter, the clouds retain little of heat which we have.
I hope you like him. I do not know his name yet.
I have put the original photo as a workshop.

COngratulations for you 4000 points Luc!
Another great portrait with very good details.
Well done.
TFS.

Congratulations Luc! You are very good photographer! And of course very persistent and active member of TN. It's superb. Your pohotos are amazing and unusual and I'm always impressed of them!
This portrait is just perfect!

very congratiolation with the 4000 points Luc.
Your shot is again very good, I like the shot a lot, but even I try a WS for you and maybe you like it.

Fantastic Luc!
This ecomuseum place must be really big. Are the eagles in a giant aviary or can they fly free?
A superb portrait as usual, with the snow adding another interesting touch.

Concrats on hitting 4K!
I think we have to place a ban on you visiting this place - just too many nice subjects, shady ladies, scaly terapins and now this eagle!
Well done, very nice. I dared a WS, to get a bit more light in, just personal preference.

Très belle photo Luc! La regard est intense et les détails sur le bec sont faramineux. Beau travail!

Its a lovely creature. Maybe a Steppe Eagle? Tack sharp and the frozen fish adds a nice touch. Well done, Luc.

Wow. Absolutelu stunning photo. The ice in the beak shows that it must be cold. Great detail.

perfectly / congrats!!!! /

It seems to me that this fellow wouldn't miss too much with eyes like that. What a great profile shot. His intensity is like a heat coming off of him. Amazing detail in the feathers also.
Sorry I missed your 4K, congratulations!
