Beautiful closeup of this bird! He is looking right at you. The colors and every detail are outstanding.
ah alors là je suis jaloux, pour moi pas moyen d'approcher ces oiseaux!!
cette photo est fabuleuse.bravo.
This is a first class capture of a female Kestrel. Being Richmond Park, it must be used to people, but what an excellent opportunity and well taken! This is sharp, well composed and with fine BG, the only negative being the fence, but that is a part of urban nature!
Well done and TFS!
Can't miss this picture!
You did it great, using this excellent an close POV.
Details got on the plumage are so enjoyable, their vivid colors and patterns looks great.
The illumination was excellent, you shoted at the right time.
I like so much the soft and colorful backgound got.
This was a nice surprise from you!.
Congratulations and thanks for share it with us.

Very good details and very good posing kestrel.
I think that the frame is little bit crouded.
You need to becareful with noise reduction, it can eliminate essential details.

Otro excelente disparo Simon con gran claridad y definición en los detalles del ave, realzados por el gran despegue obtenido sobre el difuso trasfondo.
La iluminación es muy apropiada conformando una bella composición.
Gracias y saludos... Ricardo
Another excellent shot Simon with great sharpness and clearness in the details of the bird, enhanced by the great takeoff obtained on the diffuse background.
The illumination is very appropriate conforming a beautiful composition.
Thank you and greetings... Ricardo
Hello Simon a sharp shot with good pose and POV I just see the background as heavily post processed the blur has seeped through in places and gives a diffused glow effect along what is sharp. The backround lacks dynamic range you would normally get with a lens bokeh but looks gaussian photoshop blurred. the oversharpening has caused a bright hallo along the vertical railing that distracts it maybe where you have missed with the brushing in of the background. rgds Necip

Very nice picture of Falco tinnunculus. I really like this bird family. Really this species can be see through my window at the University during the vegetation season (some species live on the tower of cherch which is near my University).
Very good DOF and nice POV. I like also saturated colours :)

A stunning portrait of this kestrel, Simon.
The sharp bright eye really draws one's attention.
A POV is perfect for a full body portrait.
The subject is well isolated from the clean BG.
The details are very fine in both sharpness and colors.
TFS. : )

You did an excellent job to capture this raptor in all its fine beauty and grace. I just love the fabulous details you got on the plumage while the colours are also well defined. The exposure was spot-on and even with a little catchlight in that big black eye. The BG looks great, but there do seem to be some evidence along the edges of the bird and the perch that you've done some heavy blurring in this area. Anyway, the overall result was a kestrel that stands out well against the BG. The composition is splendid with sufficient space in front of the bird to give the shot an overall well balanced look.
Well done and TFS.
