Nice composed pose of these spiders. I agree with your remark about the illumination, but you showed us a very original scenery.

~ CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 200TH POST ~
This female spider looks huge compared to it's smaller male friend. The detail of her body came out well. The lighting is not to harsh. WELL DONE
Cheers and here to your next 200 posts.

C'est une image très réussie (cadrage, netteté, détails et couleurs) mais en plus très instructive : c'est rare d'observer cette proximité. Magnifique et bravo pour l'ensemble de ta galerie.
Great macro shot and thanks for all your contributions.
Well done & TFS.

Excellent picture of these spiders. What a difference in size. Unbelievable! Fortunately it isn't like that for human beings.

Congratulations on your 200th post. This spider shot is a nice way to celebrate it: a fine sharp and well composed capture of a small male risking his life for the love of a woman!
Hope to see many more from you!

Congratulations on 200 posts
A fine example of female domination :)
Well composed, its not always easy to get males this close to the male.

Congratulations on your 200th post. Excellent composition. The inclusion of the small male is what makes this shot unique. You did very well under less than ideal conditions. Sharp detail and good accurate colors. Nice shot my friend!
Ricardo
Congrats for th 200 milestone.Considering Canon Powershot A530 camera this excellant capture. I know its very diificult to capture spiders on web because of the bright background. The web does not come good in pics. You have captured both web and spidy with nice details

Nice picture and nice time when both exist on the females web. As I know they just come together for courtship otherwise the female may eat the male as food.
Hi Hernan, congratulations for your splendid 200th Photo on Tn, amazing couple of spider, poor male with this great female! great photo with wonderful colors, great sharpness and lovely details, excellent blurry BG, very well done, ciao Silvio

This is, without a doubt, an exceptional photo.
Although I am rather late with this congratulation on your 200th posting it still comes from the heart and is done with great admiration and appreciation for the wonderful contribution you have made to this site. Considering the language barrier you magnificently overcome and the equipment obstacle which you defeat with your amazing improvisations one has to give you credit for your continued efforts and praiseworthy results. There is no stopping a genius even if his tools might be somewhat challenging. Although I see that lately you also sport a Canon Powershot A530 as part of your arsenal. The list is growing…
This is a lovely shot of the two spiders and it is a very valuable contribution to TN. It is not often that we see both the male and the female together in one shot and this photo clearly show the horrific reality a male spider has to deal with (she is enormous compared to his frail size). If he is not quick enough (which apparently rarely seems to be the case) his once of little pleasure would become her victory feast. Although you were on the wrong side of the light, you still managed to capture intricate details on both spiders and the colours are fine. Compositionally you have done excellent and the OOF and distant BG enhances the subjects very well.
Good work and TFS.
PS. I have only just done my 100th a couple of days ago so there is no chance of catching up.

Yap, i think with 1/640s of exposure, some flash light will help bring out more colors and details. tfs rgd
