[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This little fish is a kind of tropical gobies of the family Periopthalmidae (Encyclopaedia Britannica). It has a strange ability to live out of the water and jumping around the muddy banks or levee (it may resemble to their name)I don't know why they like to do that, food, clean oxygen, or...may be dating?
It's a bit strenuous effort to get this funny fish picture since I don't use any tele, this is the closer limit I could get into before it jigs and disappear |

Hello!
This is the first time I see this fish here on TN. Very good idea to present such unusual and original creature :)
On the other hand a little better DOF would be nice to keep the fish sharp :)
Anyway, thank you for showing it!
Radomir
It is a good scientific document. As I know, these gobies are similar tropical mangrove forest.
Maybe the photo should be balanced by photoshop etc for sharpness
Anyway, thanks for sharing.
