 Noise Reduction | accassidy
(2454) [2008-02-07 10:14:50] | I just noticed the noise in the BG on the top right. Why I didn't see this before, I can't explain. Maybe a bit of a rush. I have used the blur tool on it. |

 Noise, Crop | accassidy
(2454) [2008-02-02 11:46:20] | So, not only the noise reduction, but also a crop, resize and resharpen. See more butterfly and less twig. Surely a good trade-off? |

 Strengthening | accassidy
(2454) [2008-01-31 09:58:08] [2] | First I reduced background noise using Neat Image. Then reduced the brightness a little and increased the contrast. I desaturated the greens a little and improved the density of the brown by increasing the red saturation. |

 Desaturation, sharpening | accassidy
(2454) [2008-01-24 03:59:00] [7] | Hi Anna,
Using Photoshop Elements 6:
Desaturated the greens by 50% and enhanced the saturation of yellows by 15%.
Applied Unshrp Mask at 100/0.4/0.
I think this has preserved the colours of the butterfly but reduced the intensity of the background, so that we can appreciate the subject a little more. Cheers

 Desaturate, De-noise | accassidy
(2454) [2008-01-16 15:36:45] [2] | In Photoshop CS3:
Applied Neat Image to the background at 80% to reduce noise.
Decreased saturation of everything a little and of green by quite a lot. Very bright colours are a bit overwhelming. |
