I have used the Blur Tool Photoshop Elements to remove noise from the background, and then darkened the highlights in the picture to remove a little glare from the hindwing. Lastly, selectively sharpened some of the hindwing where it was just a little out of focus. Best wishes.

(1682) [2009-05-07 08:42:53] | Szczotecznica szarawka (Calliteara pudibunda syn. Dasychira pudibunda) - motyl nocny z rodziny brudnicowatych (Lymantriidae).
Imago: Rozpiętość skrzydeł 21-50 mm, samice nieco większe od samców, skrzydła szarobiałe, beżowe; tylne jaśniejsze. Czułki u samców podwójnie pierzaste, u samic delikatnie piłkowane.
Gąsienica: długości do 45 mm, zielonkawożółta lub brązowoczerwona; charakterystycznie owłosiona: na grzbietowej stronie między szczoteczkami włosków widoczne są aksamitne, czarne rowki widoczne szczególnie podczas ruchu. Na 11 segmencie pędzelek dłuższych, czerwonych włosków.
Poczwarka: ciemnobrązowa, pokryta szarożółtymi włoskami, otoczona żółtoszarym, rzadkim oprzędem.
Jaja: szarozielone w złożach po około 100 sztuk. |
