With this picture I would like to give you an overview of a part of the upper Plasselbschlund where the �rgera flows. I have left the bed of the river and climb up the steep slope. There's no path there.

The picture also shows the typical erosion in the Flysch.

Dear friends

When I posted my former icy surfaces or abstract stone pictures, many of you asked me how large the photographed surfaces are. This stone is about 70cm long and lies in the riverbed of the H�llbach. Next week, together with a friend of mine, we will try to get it out of the river and to bring it home in my garden... will see!

While the black frame with a hint of grey used by the composer( Markus) gives a stark contrast of colours enhancing the blue on the composition, i felt the soft texture and feel communictaed by the composition would be better complimented by a lightly coloured frame.Hence, i did a thin of border of black and then added a thick white border and finally rounded it off with another thin back border.

I felt that the high contrast black against white frame drew attention from this gorgeous photo. The eye is always going to go to the area of greatest contrast and you can't get more contrast than black against pure white.

Adjustment layer - levels (corrections in shadows and midtones)
Step 2:
Duplicate basic layer - Go to Image/ Adjustments/ Shadow and highlights - corrections of highlights (use histogram)
Step 3:
Adjustment layer - Color Balance
Step 4: Horizon correction
