Then shadow highlight tool, contrast/brightness tool to give more saturation and depth with the blacks and whites. Finished with smart sharpen and then reduced the highlight on the rear racoon with the burn tool.
I know it's not perfect but shows you what potentially you can do. Hope this is helpful.

(1357) [2007-04-17 21:40:34] [2] | Hi Bob,
First I selected the background sky using a combination of magic wand and lasso. I then made a copy of this and ran it through Neat Image, I let it automatically assess the noise and then processed it at 60%.
Removed some further artefacts by using the blur tool at 50% hardness and blurred them out (at 200% zoom).
Increased contrast by 3. Adjusted levels a touch on the white slider. Cropped to prevent the horizon being half way, it now roughly fits the two-thirds rule.
Ran through Photokit Sharpener at output level narrow, then reduced to 40%. Finally, added a frame to make a bit more visual impact.
Hope this was helpful. Let me know what you think.
Regards,
Simon |

(1357) [2007-03-28 14:18:07] | Hi Zeno!
Now I know I said I loved the composition but I just wanted to try this to give you another perspective. I also got rid of the pixellated outline by using the blur tool and reduced noise using neat image pro. Used the shadow/highlight tool and put both on 9%. Changed to lab mode -> greyscale -> unsharp mask at 30% radius 1.0
Finally framed. I hope you don't mind!
Regards

(1357) [2007-03-09 14:01:19] [1] | Hi Robi,
Here is what I did:
i) Put through NeatImage pro to reduce the noise in the background.
ii) Used the blur tool set to about 4 pixels wide and 50% strength, 70% hardness and zoomed the image to 200% and removed bits of compression around the edges of the flower and butterfly.
iii) Altered the levels by bringing the black slider in a tad.
iv) Reduced the highlights by about 7%.
I hope you like it.
All the best

(1357) [2007-03-08 15:18:24] [3] | Hi Cem,
I reduced the noise using Neat Image Pro, then removed some pixellation issues in parts using blur tool and also evened out the colour and removed blotches in the background with clone stamp.
Regards sharpening: I ran through luminance sharpening during Neatimage and at output in Photokit sharpener at narrow level.
Let me know if you like this,

I used Neat Image Pro first of all to reduce the noise then used the blur tool in CS2 to get rid of the bits of compression. Finished with a mild sharpen in Photokit and then tried a different crop to move him off centre and framed.
Hope you like it.

(1357) [2007-03-04 15:54:22] [1] | Hi David,
The shadow tool was used here to try and bring some detail back. I then used the clone brush to replicate some of the detail across the bird. I cropped to bring him closer to us and then framed.
Hope you like it mate
