Hello Ivan,

This particular plant has been at its location for a few good years.It is not classed as being native as it is supposed to have been planted from Europe.
There is a very good project managed by English Nature to re-introduce the species,succesfully they have done so at secret locations.
Whilst out on Saturday we visited one of these locations but with regret the 13 plants that had flowered,had been eaten by slugs.
We have seen the lady`s slipper in abundance in Ontario,and they are a sight to behold when they grow em-masse.
