Merhabalar dostum Ivan,
Thanks for your complimentary comments my friend. This particular Murex species likes to forage among/in the loose gravelly or sandy/muddy bottoms and usually gets submerged in the loose material in the process. That long siphonal outgrowth enclosing the canal is usually used to reach the free water for respiratory use, but sometimes also functions in "smelling out" the small prey items within the substratum. As usual, nature likes a part to function in more than one-way!
Cheers and best regards,
Mehmet
