Hi JeanMarie-

Glad you like the island- it certainly was a fantastic and beautiful place on this morning.

It is nice to see other compact UZ users doing good macro work (like your wolf spider). I don't know if your Olympus has supermacro mode (my old 700C-UZ did not), but you can see a couple of examples of it from my Canon S5. I just posted a shot taken on the rock on the right of the island, and the note with that refers to others shots.

Thanks for the compliment.

Bob

Well, I moved from the 770UZ to the 560UZ. Both have the supermacro mode. I have always been more than satisfied with the 770uz. But it got stuck. I bought the 560uz 2 years later. It has new functionalities, more zoom and image stabilizer. Yet this was quite a disappointment. The lens is smaller and the pics less defined.
Best regards
JM

JM-

Interesting to hear your comments about the 560UZ. I looked at either this or the earlier version, but went with the Canon and have been mostly satisfied. There are limitations, but it is still a very good camera. Hope you can resolve your disappointment with the Olympus.
