|Dear Jose Miguel,
thank you for your very positive and encouraging critique.
Why did I use the Sony camera - instead of a dSLR? Because I am a mountain hiker. I love to take pictures of what I see on trips that take me high up and on long distances. On those mountain trips a camera has to be light weight, of compact dimensions, and easy to handle. The compact Sony H5 is a reasonably good compromise for long distance walking, coming with good macro and strong tele all in one, and some pleasant features like a large 3 inch LCD screen on the back, doing a good job as a view finder that enables me to take shots with hands outstretched. Image stabilisation is another good feature that is included at good price.
The Sony does have some bugs, e.g. chromatic abberations are a big problem at some zoom settings. But so far I am quite pleased with most of its results.
Thank you! With best regards,
