Thank you very much for your critique! I would like to tell you that I appreciate your opinion.
As far as the background is concerned, I didn't want to give more space to the mountain Bietschhorn in the background. Sure, it is the main subject and spot, but I try to also give importance to what we could call the secondary subject which sustains the principal one. This principal subject appears in better conditions when the frame is nice and well composed, too. Imagine a Turner in a horrible frame... I wanted here to play with the lines and shapes and the diagonals they form: the first foreground line is parallel to the left line of the mountain, the second foreground line is parallel to the right line of the mountain... I also don't think that the main subject of a picture must cover the larger part of a picture, if the space reserved for the "frame" really sustains the main subject.
