Actually I was about 3 meters from him (Yes I converted to metric just for you). There were about six of them just lying around near the fence. The wind was blowing something fierce and when I was standing it would push me forward with each gust. I am glad the Bison didn't think that was aggressive behavior. I had to kneel down to get a good low POV and to be more stable. So it served two purposes. In PP I lost some of the detail of the blowing sand, but you can still it in his nose around his feet and in his hair. And no, I would not try and give it a pat on the head. United States
