Hi Sami,
The genus Saponaria is represented with three species in Cyprus, Saponaria cypria and Saponaria orientalis are included in the Flora of Cyprus (Meikle 1977) and are restricted to the central part of Troodos. Saponaria mesogytana was discovered by Christodoulos Makris some years ago and since then it has been found at few locations only on pillow lavas (below are the papers of the published records of this species).
