Translation Problem devildoc Gold Star Critiquer/Gold Star Workshop Editor/Gold Note Writer [C: 133 W: 57 N: 186] (2851)::2013-06-07 21:46
Suddenly my TN "Translation" goes to Babelfish ... and immediately changes to "Yahoo". Why is this happening and how can I correct this? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello Mike,
I have the same problem. I wanted to translate the message from Stone, and like for you it changes to Yahoo.
Hope somebody will fix it.

Shame on TN that this small bug is not fixed within hours
You can still use translate.google.com
Not only is there no development of this site anymore but now it's even tapering

The translation on TN still did not work, when I wanted to translate Stone's answer; I am afraid, Google's translation is mainly meaningless.....

Yes,it's true.I have tried to translate Mr.Stone's critique,but after clicking I got Yahoo page too!
I thought it's just my problem,but now can see it's happening all over the world!
Wish soon we can use it.

it is most likely a faulty link or maybe bablefish is no longer active. Luckily everybody is able to open a new tab or new browser and go to any kind of translating site available. So sure not the end of the world.

I just got the confirmation that it does work. What happens is that there's a pop-up window. Some people have their Web browsers set up to suppress pop-up windows, or to minimize them into the background. But if you aren't blocking pop-ups, and if you check to see if the pop-up was minimized, you'll see that it's actually there. Please try it. thanks! Aleksandra

I thank you for the info.
When I click translate, nothing happens at all now.
However- since my stroke - I can only use an IPad and do not know, if and how I can switch on /off anything...

But dont worry on my behalf, I am now quite adapt with "Google translate"
Thanks though for following up the matter. It is nice to know that "up there" is somebody following up problems :-)

Yes, there is somebody "up there" who takes care of all the tech issues:) Whenever there is a problem, please let me know. I'm here to help. The best way is to simply post it here on the Tech and Support forum or contact me directly (here or on Trek Earth).
I just spoke with the tech team and they say that Ipad cannot open pop-ups. What you can do is open a page in a new tab by pressing it and keeping pressed 1 second to open in a new tab.

our Tech team took this request very seriously and was investigating the problem deeper. They say everything should be fixed now. Anne, thank you for your message! I just checked it myself and the system translates Stone's (kinglove) critiques without any problems. Therefore I conclude it's not a problem on our side. What I can recommend here for you is changing browsers and clearing cache. Maybe this can help.
