The fact that I was almost on top of the bear was'nt such problem.
They did build a platform for the photographers just beside Brooks Falls.
This way the bears will not be disturbt while fishing and whats more important, the photographers will not be disturbt while taking shots :)
That does'nt mean that the photographers are safe all the time because the walk from Brooks Camp to the Falls is a little over 2 kilometers over a path through the woods.
It's quite normal to come across 15 or more of these bears while walking down to the Falls.
The bears are so relaxed though and over the years a bit more used to people that hardly anything does happen although sometimes there is an accident between a bear and human in Katmai National Park.
