From your comments about your birthplace I guess you must have been born before 1974? I remember the events very well. They must have had serious implications for you and your family?
I liked Cypus very much, though not the parts where people just go for sun and drink (in my opinion, they could be anywhere in the world and they are not interested in the place as such).
