Dear Ingrid,

thank you for your kind words and those questions of a feeling heart: Sorry to say that the beetle trapped in a spiderweb turned our to be stiff and dead already when I tried to free it.

In order to cheer you up a little bit from that, I have added as a workshop another observation of the same species from Austria - with a living couple in love.

That incredible mess from Hungary slowly moving down the river - dreadful, as you say, a horror scenario, after so much care taken in the last few decades to turn our rivers into clean places again.
