Thank you, Brenda. This plant looks like this only for a pretty short time when the flowers and leaves are first unfurling and it's easy to miss it. The individual flowers are only about 1/3 of an inch across, and as the plant matures in a couple or three days, it will lose the reddish and bluish tones, foliage will be more green and the flowers will turn a fairly uninteresting greenish yellow color and spread into a very widely-spaced loose cluster.
This stage is the most visually-interesting stage, and it's taken me literally decades to catch one at exactly this stage, so I'm pumped about this one. ;-)
