Yes,I used both brand cameras and I think:
If less noise and faster focus are important for you,
choose Canon.If more detail,sharper images,better
contrast and vivid colors are majeur spesifications,
then buy Nikon.Of course lenses and prices are also important.
I ordered Nikon D200 for high resulation and less price.I thought
also about Canon 5D, but full frame sensors are disadvantage for
tele users.(These are only my consideations;)).Hope I could helpful
