Many thanks Loot for your pleasant and friendly message. Reassure yourself, I just photographed these mushrooms, I did not consume!
More seriously, it is true that it is an extraordinary spectacle, a kind of natural "way of Tom Thumb" in the forest. I do not know really the explanation, the reason of this luminescence (attraction of insects? for what to make?), but it is nevertheless a rather singular thing.
The identification suggested by Hilary seems to me full of sense, but on the spot, I think that there were several species which emitted such a light; certain mushrooms produced even a very strong luminescence, others a more discrete light. The young individuals shine more than oldest.
Best regards.
