Yes Elroyie, you are right, thge quality of the pictures does suffer because of the video cam. In fact these are stills, taken on the videocam. The video quality of this machione ( a 3CCD job ) has broadcast quality video and is excellent. However, the stills are only about 1m pixel so quality does suffer and when you crop as much as I had to in this shot, you lose nearly all the quality anyway. I aggree, it's a problem, but, at the moment a SLR will just have to wait a little longer.
