glad to hear from you again! Thank you for your kind critique, and for confirming that separating Erebia butterflies is a tricky job where we need a field guide. Quite often, I even need two of them to compare, and still make mistakes. At two of my recent postings of Erebia I had to correct the ID after posting, in spite of the lot of practice with that genus I should have had on alpine meadows in Austria.
By the way, if your time allows, please have a look at The Alpine Blue II. It was your comments to my first posting of that species that made me dig out pictures with Alpine Blues wings spread from my archives.
