Hi Annick,
Thanks for sharing your opinions about the factors and their influence on definition in a photo such as this. I am still learning and experimenting and I was basing my observations on my particular camera and lens. I made all the adjustments at one time and got better results, but it may have been one factor more than another. I do think that f8.0 has given me a little more detail and I know my lens is sharper at slightly under the full focal range.
