[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Howler monkeys range in size from 56 to 92cm, excluding their tail which can be equally as long.
As their name suggests, vocal communication forms an important part of their social behavior. Specifically, the name comes from their distinctive loud barking whoop they make, which can be heard over considerable distances.
Quite the sound to wake up to in the morning, as they frequently visited the trees surrounding the hotel.

Hallo Sky
Pleased to meet you. I love the pose of this Howler Monkey with its tail wrapped around the branch. It looks as if he has no cares in the world and that he is actually posing for you with food in his hand. Great sharpness and fine colours in this well-composed capture. I've heard of them before but never seen them, making this photo very special. Beautiful pose with great eye-contact. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

Really shows this monkey's amazing acrobatic skills. Eating, while hanging from a thin branch by your tail, while studying a photographer :-)

Sky,

An unusual species for me! The POV is not an easy one to take from but you have done well.

Hi Sky and nice to see you back here :)
Hope you are well :)

I see you've been away in Costa Rica, too lately :) I'm sure it's as beautiful there as people say and i also see that you've come back with some nice photos for us.
This howler monkey is a very interesting animal and one we don't get to see a lot of here on TN. You capture is very good - with excellent sharpness on the monkey and catching it in a very natural and relaxed pose.
Very good DOF here, too and also a good exposure.

Bravo and TFS
Horia

Hello Sky,
Someone was watching you, great capture of this fine species I bet their howl would be a great wake up call, if one hadn't partied the night before, lol. Thanks for sharing this fine image.
Rick

Hi Sky,
You manged a fine composition/pose of this Howler feeding.
Good facial focus detail though getting a bit dark in areas.
I'd bee very happy if this was mine. Good work.

Hallo Sky,
Peter
