[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The White-faced Capuchin Monkeys are small and curious monkeys. Like the squirrel monkeys, capuchins travel through the forest in groups searching for fruits and insects.

They are widespread in Costa Rica's both wet and tropical dry forests on both sides of the country.
Palo Verde National Park is one of the region this moneky can seen frequently.

Hello Sky,
Though this capture of a White-faced Capuchin is interferred with by small branches, you caught it in a nice pose and the lighting and exposure are excellent. I much prefer this capture in its natural habitat to an 'open' image in a zoo.
Thanks for sharing it,

Hello Sky,
I like the way this Monkey is peering out at you from between the branches. It is such a beauty and I bet they're not easy to capture!
So you've done very well with sharp focus on the eyes and clear colours. I like the natural environment too.
Many thanks, Ulla

Hi Sky.
What a lovely scene and charming animal. I like its tender glance and pose. Very impressive branch pattern, excellent combination of strong sunlight and shadows, natural colours and precise exposure. I like your crisp sharp image of the attractive scene so much. Best regards and TFS.

Natural shot of this cute little Monkey!
It's great to see this is a wild shot.
The branches in the way are a bit distracting but it would be very hard to get a clear shot of a wild Monkey!
Great sharpness and detail.
Nice composition.
Well done Sky,

Hi Sky,
This one seems to be hiding between the branches.
And you found the right moment to catch him in this difficult shot due to the obstacles.
Well done and thanks for share.
My best regards,

Hello Sky,
You had managed to capture the Capuchin monkey in good clarity even inside the leafs and branches of the tree!
very good lighting and details in the shot
many thanks for sharing

Der sieht ja scheu aus oder ist er neugierig? Schöne Aufnahme wie er versteckt zwischen den Zweigen hindurchschaut.
Viele Grüße,

Hi Sky

It’s been a while since we met on the site stranger. Sorry, but it's a bit difficult for me to do a proper analysis / critique on the moment since my monitor is under "house arrest" at the repair agents and I don't know when I'll get it back. The one on loan is not so great, but I have to make do for the time being.

Looks like this shy little guy thinks he can escape you by concealing himself behind the twigs. Now you see me – now you don't. I must say that I am chuffed by the sensible critiquing by all the members thus far. They appreciate the fact that this monkey is in the wild and the difficulty one experience to capture such an animal in a clear open shot. It shows the primate in its natural habitat while it displays its natural behaviour towards an intruder, It wants to hide, but its natural instinct of curiosity is getting the better of him and he just cannot help himself and he have to take a peep. Ha-ha-ha, click – you got him.

Well done and TFS.

Such a great sharpness and clarity of the monkey through all the branches, you did a good job focusing. Since we couldn’t really see that much detail on the lower part of his body, I would have liked to see you crop out the bottom part of the photo for a greater impression on the monkey up close. Great job.

You caught this capuchin in its habitat in a very nice pose. The image is well composed with the subject off centered to the right. Your exposure was right on for this difficult mix of light and dark areas. Far from distracting, the branches add interests to the scene with the monkey looking at you behind them as if behind a curtain. Well done, Sky.
