[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While others were fishing I was catching my bait with the Camera :-). Not only did we get to see a lot of different marine life, such as the flying Manta from my previous post. We also saw great birds above our heads.
The end result of the fishing trip...... 1 fish caught by my husband.... oh well lets say about 200 pictures by me ;-).

Have a great day

Hola Sky,
hermoso pov,
y bellos tonos...
presentación y detalles,
saludos amiga.

Hi Sky, in the contest between your husband's fishing and your photography, (in my totally biased opinion), I would have to say that you won. In fact I'd gladly trade just about any number of fish for that one shot you got of that flying Manta. You can catch fish anytime, but you're not likely to see a shot like that one again for a long while.

I like the composition in this one, a lot. The angled approach you have on the bird against the water and mountains is good, but I also like the layered effect seen here between the sea, mountains and sky. It's subtle, which is probably why it works so well. Colour is good throughout, but its the transition of colour that I like.

Thanks, John

Hello Sky,
Beautiful action that you capture. Lovely scene. I like the calm sea and the mountain in the background. Very well done and tfs.

Hi Sky,
A very pleasant image to look at.
I like the depth got thanks to the color gradations and good composition.
You were patience enough to shot at the right moment.
Congratulations and thanks for share.
Best regards,
JM

Hi Sky,
Wonderful shot and a great action moment freezed very skillfully. The rippled waters of the sea and the distant mountains provide a fantastic setting. You won this time surely and it must have made your husband happy and jealous too. Superb muted lighting and excellent POV. Very nicely composed. Kudos.
TFS.

Hello Sky,
I am honored to find my name in your favorite list. Thanks!
So you were actually "fishing" for pictures. This is a great catch. I like the ambience in this mood picture you took in south America.
At shutter speed 640, you got a sharp and crisp image of the subject.
Well done and TFS.

Hello Sky,

Hello Sky,
This bird looks both powerful and mysterious but seems to rule its domain. The three layer composition of sea, land and sky gives the image depth as this large bird (seeks its prey in a fine composition.
I think this is an immature Frigatebird of some species, Lesser or Greater.
Thanks for sharing this fascinating image,
Ivan

Hi Sky.
Wonderful scene. I like it a lot. Flying bird over the see on impressive BG created my far mountains is looked perfectly. I like pleasant delicate colour palette, decoration of the image and its composition. My compliments.

Hi Sky

I would agree with you anytime of day, catching bait with the camera far outweighs catching fish especially if you spend the whole day catching only 1 fish. At least you had a couple of 100 photos to show for the day. It's a question of balance.

This peaceful shot anyway speaks a thousand words. Long after your husband's remembrance of the 1 fish caught has faded you can still rekindle the pleasure of this spectacular moment. You had the ocean, the mountain, the sky, and the moment filled it with this fabulous bird. Shear delight for you and a pleasure for us to behold.

Well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot

Hi Sky

Surely, there won't be many photos that will top that magnificent flying manta, but this too is a very nice shot.
I like the rather unconventional composition here and the beautiful BG you managed to get.
The sharpness on the bird and its prey is very good and the exposure is great.
Very nicely done.

Bravo and TFS
Horia
