Hello Goldy,
This is really a striking-colored Grasshopper ! I remember that Ram has published the same species too. I'm not sure if he could identify it.
The picture is well composed with pleasing colors. The sharpness could have been a tiny better.
Thanks a lot. take care.
Kind regards

Slav Goldy,
A very interesting Grasshopper.Nice colors and perfect POV.Thanks for sharing.

I've seen some pretty interesting grasshoppers come out of India...Here in the US they sort of look like the Army...Drab Green or Drab Brown...If there is ANY good news about a pest the ones from India are pretty..as you have shown!

Hi Bro,

Are you sure this beauty isn't from another world? I guess Ram's name of "Painted Grasshopper" will stick. He looks like he is dressed in a Mardi Gras costume - mask and all. The colors are sensational and the details are very good. I love how he is posed on the leaves. A great find and a great composition.

TFS thanks for sharing

bonjour Goldy
cette sauterelle a vraiment des couleurs superbes, j'aime aussi sa pose et le point de vue, la photo est bien nette et superbement composée
merci pour le partage et passe une bonne nuit

Hello Goldy!
DOF is not perfect but the shape and colours of this grasshopper are very beautiful! It is rather unusual in insects to see such mosaic of tones: green, yellow and... blue!
Really interesting capture!

Hello Goldy,
Though not quite sharp, this is a nice close macro of the 'Swedish Flag Grasshopper':), which, as Maurizio pointed out, has already been named when Ram posted a shot of it.
The lateral POV is great and clearly shows most of its features with excellent colours and lighting.
Thanks and all the best,

Hi Goldy,

The leaves are framing well the insect. The close-up view is allowing us to see the details and colors of a kind of grasshopper. It is clear and sharp. The surrounding light is enhancing the colors. have a nice day.

Hello Goldy,
What a great view of this fantastic Grasshopper. I love the colours and the sharp focus on the blue eye and the antennae. I also like its pose on the leaf and the plain background. Well done!
TFS and kind regards, Ulla

Poekilocerus pictus, commonly referred to as Painted grasshopper. Nice image, although I see a little shake.
