[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Thanks for viewing and critiquing my Black-faced impala in the previous post.
This one might also be called penkop. An advanced penkop more or less. Whereas the ram's horns still don't have that typical lyre-shaped form, you can already distinguish some beginning.
The Black-faced impala is one the two impala subspecies. The other one is the common impala.
The Black-faced impala is significantly larger than its counterpart the common and has a black facial marking.
The Black-faced subspecies had come close to extinction and in 1968-1971 310 individuals were transferred to Etosha National Park for better protection.

Thanks for viewing and have a nice day...

Hi Annick,
Beautiful animal which you've photographed well. Sharp lines, interesting composition, and nice contrast between foreground and background make this a fine shot. Enjoyed and learned something from your note as well.
TFS,
Jeff

Hi Annick.
What a nice surprise: you are here again and share a wonderful picture as usual.
Pictured creature is amazing as well as its reproduction. Composition of the shot is stunning, colours are awesome (including coloration of a fine BG) and details of the animal are superb too. Well done and kind regards.
Alexei.

Hi Annick

Nice portrait of this impala. Great sharpness and composition. I like the forward facing ears and OOF green background.

Bonjour Annick,
Amicalement
Anne

Hello Annick,
