Melanargia sp .. Mediterranean ambiences. It has an importance of approximately 5 centimeters. The wings are white with very pronounced black spots that draw on the wing a checkered pattern. The species has led to a series of cromátidas varieties and geographical races. The butterflies appear in June or July. The female puts the eggs on the vegetation that will be the food of the larvas.

Sorry I cannot help you with the identification of this butterfly, but I can tell you that it is very beautiful one. The markings and colours on its wings are lovely, and displays beautifully in the bright sunlight. I like the full framed composition and close point of view very much. Thanks for sharing.
