[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this shot a few days ago on a very cold and foggy morning. This is the only shot that is worth presenting (without a shake) out of more than 20 shots i took. The bird in my shot is a female fulvous-breasted woodpecker (Dendrocopos macei. Males have a red crown instead of black. I found this bird at the start of trail 5 in Margalla hills. Some information from Wikipedia is as under:

The fulvous-breasted woodpecker (Dendrocopos macei) is a species of bird in the Picidae family. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, India, Pakistan and Myanmar. The freckle-breasted woodpecker was formerly considered conspecific with this species.

A medium-sized, pied woodpecker. Upperparts black, heavily barred white. Undertail red, breast und belly buffwith light flank barring and slight side streaking. Withish cheeks partly bordered by black line. Crown red in male with orange forehead, black in female.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Thanks for viewing,
Best Regards...AAA
