[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Took this shot on a family trip to Northern areas of Pakistan. These small spotted birds apart from black redstarts were very common along the banks of fast running streams. I hope some birds' expert on TN will help me in identifying it,
Best Regards,

Hi Akbar. Beautiful bird, unknown for me too.

Hello Akbar,
Thios is a recently fledged juvenile of one of the wheatear species of the genus Oenanthe. It is difficult to identify young birds to species, but the pied wheatear Oenanthe pleschanka is the species most commonly associated with nesting along river banks. The males are black and white - did you see any adult birds?
Best wishes, Nigel.

Hi Akbar,
Nicely composed image with perfect sharpness, and very nice monochrome effect. A little overexposed at the right, but a spectacular shot, indeed. Great work.
Kind regards from Ireland, László
