[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On 19th August, we visit famous Ani Ruins located in Kars Province. Five year ago, I visited again and we found a large population of bats in there. In this time, we also found bats and collected some ectoparasites as like scorpions of Mesobuthus eupeus (SCORPIONES: BUTHIDAE) (Iran, Irak, Turkiye).
Aras River draws Turkish (right) and Armenian (left) border just after Ani historical city. This shot was taken from a window of Seljuk mosque, called Ebul Manucehr Mosque which was the first mosque built in Anatolia in 1072 by Seljuk Turks.
Both of side of the Aras River were steppic and tree plantation almost absent. We can only see trees innerside of the canyon of Aras Valley. Although this valley looks like poor, it has very rich fauna and flora. There are also several bat species in Armenian side. Unfortunately we cant find them in Turkish side. Maybe I can do in third visit.
Best wishes

Merhaba Ahmet,
A great view of the Aras River valley from Seljuk mosque where a part of Caucasia is a part of Turkey. Excllent composition and it looks like a very interesting area for flora and fauna, especially as they look like limestone rocks.
TFS this interesting image my friend and thanks also for your kind words on my second TN anniversary.
Best wishes,
Selamlar,
Ivan

Hi Ahmet,
Your notes about this special place are very interesting as at first, I would never think that so many species live there. You chose good POV and composition. We don't have this kind of desertic lanscape in my country... Thanks and have a good weekend!

Salam Ahmet. Thanks for showing us the place where you did your research work. The river is looking rather unique with steep cliff as river banks. Nice light and well framed showing the river's turn. Beautiful view and thanks for sharing. Best regards. Jusni

Hi Ahmet.
Amazing view, great picture and nice story. I like all of them a lot. You have selected POV excellently. We can get pleasure to watch this wonderful place, attractive S-shaped curve of the valley and river, impressive rocks and wonderful lights and natural colours. I also like precise exposure. Even shadowed parts of the image are detailed perfectly. Well done and TFS.
Alexei.
