The Holly Blue (Celastrina argiolus), is a butterfly that belongs to the Lycaenids or Blues family and is native to Eurasia. In India, it is known as the Hill Hedge Blue .
The butterfly was earlier known as Lycaenopsis argiolus Woodmason.
It is found in Eurasia. In South Asia, it occurs from Chitral in Pakistan to Kumaon in India

Celastrina argiolus (Linnaeus 1758) Piccolo argus
Ali anteriori 13-17 mm
Descrizione
Biologia

Hello Luciano,
Your Holly Blue looks so pretty in contrast with the light green buds and lily white flowers. Razor sharp focus allowing us to view its unique features in fine detail. The exposure is perfect and the framing is quite eye catching. A pleasure to view!!
Ron

Hello Luciano,
It is a pleasure viewing this outstanding macro. Amazing sharpness and excellent clarity. The light and details are great.
Thanks for sharing!
Marius.

Beautiful composition where white is the main protagonist. Luciano, in imi humble opinion, you could enhance more this beautiful image with a slight increase of the exhibition and emphasizing the highlights. I have added a workshop that I hope you find respectful.

Hello Luciano,
Beautiful Holly Blue and quite well captured. Very hood exposure on butterfly as well as n white petals of flowers. Bit sharpness on flowers could have been better in my test, but the way Hernan used Highlights white petals look overexposed.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice WE,
Srikumar

Ciao Luciano, gran bella ed elegante farfallina ripresa splendidamente, magnifici colori, ottima nitidezza e bei dettagli, bravissimo, ciao Silvio

Bonjour Luciano,

Pierre
