Scientific name: Heliconius Ismenius Telchinia

Diagnóstic Description: Amplitude eave: of 38 to 41 mm similar Sexes.
Previous wing of black color with orange strips of irregular form in basal, postbasal, subaverage, average and postaverage the area near the internal margin. A yellow cross-sectional row, in the subapex a row of yellow point. Later wing of orange color with marginal area of black color, in half of the wing one borders black of the anal margin to the apex.

Habitat: Edges of forest, clear, secondary forests.

Service life:
Eggs: solitaires, orange, positions in earrings and leaves.

Larva in fifth stage: capsule of the orange head. Body of white color chalk, thorns, espiráculos and points in the back of black color.

Pupa: of brown color, with points golden in the back, the antennas many short thorns of black color,
abdomen with 5 pairs of black thorns, head with short horns.

Feeding: The adults visit the flowers of Cissus rhombifolia, Psiguria warscewiczii, coccinea Gurania

Relations: Hospedera plant: Alata Passiflora, P.ambigua Hemsl. (Passifloraceae).

Distribution: Species: From Mexico to Ecuador.
Subspecies: From Mexico to Panama.

Great shot of butterfly! The bright colours against the green, leafy background is excellent. Very good composition and POV.
