CANADA DAY is here... and we finally have some Summer in the Maritimes...

The sun is now setting as far "North West" as she will this year... In a previous shot at this lake I took it perpendicular to the shoreline across to the rocks in the distance. This time I shot along the shoreline! The sun sets much further North now than in the Winter or Spring... The sunset colours at times are much the same...

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears ...

Happy Canada Day!

Hi Jay
I see summer has finally arrived, and the ICE is gone. Same here! A nice sunset Jay, the horizon is straight, the rocks in the bay adds some interest and depth.

TFS Janice

The Stampede Parade is next Friday that means good weather for a week or two...ha ha ha.

Hi Jay,
A beautiful seascape!
I like so much this colors of the sunset, that turn the sky in such poetic moment.
It's so good the composition made, with the right proportions on each element, putting special attention at the sky and the gorgeous cloud's formations.
My compliments and thanks for share.
Best regards,
JM

Superbe jeu de couleurs et magnifique composition.
Bravo
Marie

Hi Jay

Ah, I see you also saw "Fiddler on the Roof" and a very fitting photo to link to the lovely words of that song. Your snow is gone, but here in South Africa we see snow in places that did not see it in more than 20 years. It has been a remarkable cold winter and even us lot living here in sunny Zululand, on the east coast side of the land, are shivering from the cold spells. I have not used a heater in years, but this season saw me dust of the heater and making full use of its function.

I like your well balanced and configured composition being divided into 1/5 zones on the horizontal and with the rocks on the one side and the major clouds on the other side. The strip of black land creates a nice break between the water and the sky. The colours are good and details are sufficiently defined.

Well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot

PS. I just hope my timing is not too bad and that I still manage to get this one through before you depart on your trip. Bon voyage MF and drive carefully. I hope you enjoy it and we'll see you on the other side.

Hello Jay,
You really have late summer don't you? Today is cold here with only 17 Degree Celsius but we had some very, very hot and humid days lately. Weather is very unpredictable these times... We just had St-Jean Baptiste and now it's Canada day :) We, Quebecers managed to have more than one national birthday, you know how we are? ;) This is a very nice scenery with superb tones of colors, exposure and lovely silhouette. Have fun!
Claudine
