The evening over a part of the Argentina side of Iguazu; a view from the Brazilian side.
Left above is the Salto Rivadavia; middle Salto Escondido; right above the Salto San Martin.
Left under: Salto Tres Mosqueteros and right under Salto Dos Mosqueteros.

Some facts:
The name Iguazu comes from the Guarani or Tupi words y (water) and guasú (big). Legend has it that a god planned to marry a beautiful aborigine named Naipí, who fled with her mortal lover Tarobá in a canoe. In rage, the god sliced the river creating the waterfalls, condemning the lovers to an eternal fall. The first European to find the falls was the Spanish Conquistador Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca in 1541, after whom one of the falls in the Argentine side is named. The falls were rediscovered by Boselli at the end of the nineteenth century, and one of the Argentinian falls is named after him.

Hallo Peter,
Heb nog niet het privilege gehad om ter plaatste getuige te zijn van een dergelijk schouwspel; deze lijkt me zelfs mooier dan zijn-
voor mij toch-bekendere equivalenten.
Mooi!
Bedankt en beste 2008 wensen.

Hello Peter,
Great shot of a part of these famous falls: must have been a fantastic experience. Ilike the way the evening light catches the misty areas over the falls themselves.
Nice composition with the FG vegetation.
Well done and thanks,

Hallo Peter
I read your intro page with great interest, and came across this beautiful landscape whilst browsing through your gallery. A most enjoyable sight. This waterfall is stunning, and I am in no doubt you enjoyed photographing it, as much as I have looking at it. I am sure you could smell the freshness and the spray of the falling water, and I can imagine the awesome feeling you had being so close to such view. You have captured that spray in a favourable manner and it adds a wonderful feeling to this photo. I have many times admired scenes like this one, paging through books. The water really looks so cool and refreshing, and sure sets idyllic scenery. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

A superb dynamic scene shot from this magnificent place Peter

Hi Peter,

there was much less water when you were here, I like the more clear water. When I was there it was rainy season and the water is brownish and amost too much waer you don't see any rock behind it.

This is beuatiful with the low light. when i was there they also close it by 6 pm and there no way to get a sunset image.

this is a beuatiful shot.
