Harris Hawks (or Bay Winged Hawks) are common in the southwestern states. They have been known to take down other birds in flight. Because of this, they are used in the ancient sport of falconry. If caught very young, Harris Hawks can become quite tame.

Hi Chris.
What an unusual and impressive POV and framing. I think this is rather rare view and you are luck photographer because of you managed to tale such picture. Surprising colourstion of the eyes, excellent details and reproduction of the feathers and other attractive features of the bird. My compliments and TFS.
